Volunteering at Still Waters House

Time is a valuable thing, and how we spend it is important to us, isn't it?

Do you have a little to spare?

Would we be a good place to spend it?

How you can volunteer at SWH

SWH is a small charity and so finding the money to pay lots of salaries is very difficult, in fact all of our paid roles are part-time.

We believe though, that there are a lot of generous people out there who might be prepared to 'gift' some of their time to help us fulfil our vision and acheive our goals. If you are reading this, then just maybe you are on of those people.

Even a small charity creates a lot of work, simply by virtue of being a charity. But, when you are a charity working with individuals who have multiple and complex needs, providing secure and safe accommodation, support, and walking alongside them to enable wholeness and independence, then you can imagine things are not always  uncomplicated, and pretty much always busy. Don't mistake that for 'this is a tough job!', it can be of course, but what it actually means is that it is a fulfilling and often highly enjoyable ministry of love, hallmarked grace, and aiming for wholeness.

Volunteering at SWH takes many shapes and can be as much or little as you can or want to give, you can volunteer weekly, monthly, be involvedin the frontline delivery of support or housing, or behind the scenes in admin or finance, act as a Trustee, or be a prayer or promotions coordinator... if you can give some time we can find you something worthwile to do!

Below you will finds some ideas of how you can support us...
